^{We are pleased to introduce Dr. Tessa Olmstead, an adult psychiatrist who is joining the team at Willow Medical & Wellness in August 2026. She specializes in treating people with mood conditions, anxiety conditions, PTSD, ADHD, and other concerns. She offers diagnostic evaluations, pharmacotherapy, and psychotherapy. She will also be joining the providers of True North TMS at Willow Medical.}

^{Dr. Olmstead grew up outside of Seattle, and she has dual undergraduate degrees cum laude in Bioengineering and Dance from the University of Washington. Prior to medical school she trained and danced professionally in classical ballet. She knew psychiatry was her calling when she discovered that it combines the passion and curiosity of her arts background, the discipline and focus of ballet, and the analytical thinking from her engineering training.
Dr. Olmstead attended medical school at the University of Washington, which allowed her the opportunity to rotate in Alaska through the WWAMI Program. She quickly fell in love. She completed her psychiatry residency in New Mexico, including as chief resident in her final year.
In addition to her passion for the arts, Dr. Olmstead enjoys spending time in the mountains and on the ocean, cooking, and creative projects. She is excited to return to Alaska with her family and explore all that the state and community have to offer.}
